2. Do exercise – at all stages of life, especially during pregnancy, exercise is an absolute must! This is one of the most effective ways to relieve stress and release the tension and anxiety from your system. While pregnancy will likely alter the types of exercise you do, it doesn’t mean you can’t do anything. Keep it light, but keep it going!

3. Use natural techniques – ancient techniques like yoga and Pilates are excellent outlets for relieving stress. These techniques combine breathing, posing and stretching that will induce the “feel-good” feeling, and automatically help to de-stress you. You don’t have to be a pro to do them. Practicing simple stretches and poses will definitely help out a lot!

4. Eat healthily – having a healthy, balanced diet is a given requirement for pregnant women. However, it is even more important when you have fallen prey to stress! A healthy diet will keep your body functioning well, so it doesn’t get knocked down by stressors. Remember you need to keep your body health because you have a little one inside who is feeding off you.

5. Reduce workload – if you’re a working mom-to-be, pregnancy requires that you immediately reduce your workload. The first trimester of your pregnancy is very crucial, and your habits can easily determine whether you’ll have a healthy, strong baby. Therefore, if you can’t avoid being at work while pregnant, make steps towards lessening your workload so you don’t end up being stressed.

Finally, keep in mind that stress and pregnancy effects all women differently. Stressors comes from everywhere, and in all different forms. In reality, we really can’t avoid them. However, what we can do is adjust the way we deal with them. That will be the difference between having a healthy pregnancy and one that could encounter difficulties and irregularities.
