Six Months Pregnant
Whenever you are six months pregnant, you may find yourself doing a lot of shopping for new clothes and shoes. This is because you will see significant weight gains in month six, and you also are likely to experience swelling in your ankles, making it uncomfortable to wear your normal shoes and clothing. While there is plenty of stylish maternity clothing available, finding the right shoes to wear at this point in your pregnancy can prove to be a difficult task. You will want to look for shoes that are not only wide enough to accommodate your growing ankles, but also offer sure footing as well. Avoid buying shoes that are too big for your feet, which can increase the likelihood that you may slip and fall.
You may also find it increasingly difficult to watch the things you eat, as your food cravings may increase at this time as well. You will have to find healthy alternatives to the foods that you are craving, if they are not part of a healthy and balanced diet.
6th Month Of Pregnancy
This is the time that many women can distinctly feel the movements of the baby. This is not only exciting for the expectant mother, but her partner as well. This makes the pregnancy very real to the parents who can now feel the movements of their baby for the very first time. The first time you feel your baby move is likely to be something that sticks with you for the rest of your life. It is one of those moments that people have trouble finding the right words to describe, and you may find yourself in a similar situation!
Unfortunately, with the good comes the bad and you may find that you are experiencing an increase in heartburn and swelling around this time. You may also start to develop pains in your joints and have an achy back as well. Because of an increase in hormonal changes, you may also develop a bad case of acne. Many women also have developed a keen sense of smell by month six and have an aversion to such things as perfumes and colognes.
How Your Baby Is Developing
The hair on your baby’s body is starting to darken at this point in time, and the eyebrows are beginning to grow in as well. Your baby is also starting to develop fat, which will keep him or her warm once outside of the womb.
Your baby now weighs approximately 590 grams and is almost a foot long.
