Seven Months Pregnant
Once an expectant mother is seven months pregnant, she will be moving into her third and final trimester. This is generally a big sigh of relief for many pregnant women as many experts refer to this as the “home stretch” in a pregnancy. Unfortunately, many women find out that this is usually the hardest trimester to deal with, as the increase in weight really puts a tremendous amount of pressure on their joints and back, making it extremely uncomfortable. Then there is of course the swelling which makes the hands, feet and ankles of many pregnant women balloon to twice their normal size.
While your partner may joke about your “cankles” and you may find some days during your final trimester are quite unbearable, you will get through this like millions of women before you. It is important that you start considering taking some pain management classes or a Lamaze class, to help you not only learn how to breathe properly throughout your labor, but make more informed choices on whether or not you want to have a natural childbirth or not.
7th Month Of Pregnancy
You may find yourself sleeping with one eye open at this point in your pregnancy, out of fear of your partner suffocating you with a pillow. This is because many women begin to snore quite substantially during the third trimester. All kidding aside, this snoring can be quite a problem for both the expectant mother and her partner, making it extremely difficult for both to get good nights sleep throughout the final trimester.
You will also notice that your belly has increased substantially this month, your breasts are becoming full and tender, you may be experiencing severe cramping and your hands and feet feel very tingly, like pins and needles.
How Your Baby Is Developing
Believe it or not, by now your baby can see light and darkness through the womb, which may affect his or her sleeping patterns. Your baby can also hear outside sounds as well, which means that your voice and the voice of your partner will probably be the most familiar sounds to your child after being born. As the room inside of your uterus starts to decrease, what your baby will begin to turn head down, in preparation of birth.
It is also at this point that your baby can kick a bottle cap or a coin off of your belly, as his or her legs have become much stronger.
