Homemade Baby Wipes
For parents who are cautious about buying baby care products available on the market, using homemade baby wipes is always an option. It is very easy to make baby wipes at home that will be just as effective as the products on the market without exposing your baby to harmful synthetic properties. Some parents like to have control over the products they use on their babies and this is one way to maintain that control.

Tea Tree Oil Blend
For this formula, combine 2 tablespoons baby wash, 2 tablespoons calendula oil, 2 drops tea tree oil and 2 cups water. Tea tree oil is known to have disinfecting properties to get rid of all the bacteria that could make your baby sick. Mix them all in a spray bottle and spray onto your wipes when ready to use.
Olive Oil Blend
Combine 2 tablespoons baby wash, 2 tablespoons olive oil and 2 cups water to create a soothing blend. The baby wash will cleanse the area, while the olive oil will help to keep your baby’s skin soft and tender.
Vitamin E Blend
In a spray bottle, combine 2 drops tea tree oil, 2 drops lavender oil, 2 drops chamomile oil, 2 cups water and the contents of 1 vitamin E capsule. Vitamin E has antioxidant properties to care for the skin and your baby’s tender skin needs all the care it can get. Spray onto the wipes when ready to use.
Aloe Vera Blend
Another great skin care ingredient is aloe vera. This baby wipe solution is made with ΒΌ cup aloe vera gel, 2 drops tea tree oil and 2 cups hot water. Shake ingredients well and allow the mixture to cool before spraying on wipes.
Some parents opt to store the solution in a spray bottle, while others use the traditional wipes container, put cloth wipes in it and pour on the solution. Then they can take soaked wipes out whenever they need them. If you choose to store the solution in an air tight container, you can simply put a few wipes in a sealable plastic bag and soak them with the solution whenever you’re heading out.
Baby wipes are very easy to make at home once you have ingredients that are effective at cleansing and taking care of your baby’s skin at the same time.
