Carrying Baby Low – Gender Prediction?
One myth that is extremely popular and almost every expectant mother hears, is about carrying baby low or high, and how this supposedly can help predict the gender of the child.
As the old wives tale goes, if you are carrying low, this means that you will have a boy. If you are carrying high, this means that you will be having a girl.
Other Fun Ways To Predict Baby Gender
Heart rate – if the heart rate of your baby as above 145 BPM, this means you are carrying a girl. If the heart rate is below this, it means you’re having a boy
Cravings - if you are craving sweets, this means you are carrying a girl. If you are craving sour foods, this means you are having a boy.
Ring test – this is actually one of the few methods that may have some merit to it, but it is of course unfounded. What you want to do is take a piece of string that is about 6 inches long, and tie a ring to it. Then have someone hold the ring over your tummy. If the ring starts moving in a circle, this means you are having a girl. If it starts moving side to side, this means you are having a boy.
Breaking out – if you are experiencing a lot of acne, this means you are having a girl.
Morning sickness – if you are experiencing a lot of morning sickness in the first trimester, and it generally points to the fact that you will be having a girl. If you get through the first trimester without suffering from many of these symptoms, it means you will be having a boy.
While these are just a few fun ways to help you pass the time while you are pregnant and possibly help to predict what the gender of your baby will be, I certainly wouldn’t put much stock into any of these methods.
Believe it or not, even an ultrasound is not always 100% correct. Basically, the only way you will know with certainty what the gender of your baby is going to be, is when you meet him or her face to face for the very first time!
