Baby Swings That Plug In
Do you know of any baby swings that plug in? I am tired of spending money on batteries and want to know what the best plug in baby swing is?
If you are a first time parent, then you have probably discovered two things about baby swings. First they are one of the best baby products you can own as they are like magic for calming a fussy baby, secondly, they go through batteries like a bad habit.
Battery powered baby swings dominate the market and an electric baby swing is not always easy to find for many parents, but there are a couple quality ones on the market. The ones I know of are:
Fisher Price Open Top Cradle Swing – this swing gives you the option of using batteries or a plug in adapter. It has a sturdy design as well which is extremely important with a baby swing. The swing has 6 speeds and plays soothing rainfall effects and music as well. It also folds up and can be put in your car for trips to grandma’s house and other relatives. It retails for around $90.
Graco SweetPeace Soothing Center – this is another electric baby swing that many parents really seem to love (it consistently receives good reviews). However, the features go beyond just being one of the rare electric swings on the market, as it has adjustable speeds, plays soothing music and also vibrates. The only drawback is that the vibrating feature does in fact use batteries, but if you are like me, you won’t leave the vibrations on for very long anyway.
I wish I could tell you there were more electric baby swings on the market, but unfortunately these are the only two I know of. I will come back and update this post if I do in fact learn of anymore. Keep in mind that these swings will probably not become very popular because of the fear of electrocution, as many swings use metal frames for support.
